Simplicity, warmness and embracing texture are from the main principles of the Japanese design philosophy. Even though there have always been a gap between western design and eastern one, combining both Japanese and modern American elements is much easier than one can think. In this home reception I tried my best to combine Japanese elements like ink paintings, natural textures, and neutral colors, with a more modernized elements like a metal partition, L-sofa, plain flat ceiling, spotlighting, and neo-classic panels. With keeping the color palette as neutral and warm as possible.
